Ok, here's another one for those who requested them.
I heard a man of God say one time, "Hope my shouting doesn't bother you. I'm just practicing for Heaven." I love that! The Bible says let the redeemed of the Lord say so, so why are we afraid to praise Him publicly and privately? Why does old time, Holy Ghost worship scare or bother some people?
I've heard a lot of arguments. Some say it's all emotionalism. I have two responses to that. Number one, what is wrong with getting emotional about being saved, going to Heaven, never going to hell, and Having the Holy Spirit dwell with in us? That's enough for me to shout, cry, and praise God all the way to Heaven for. I'd say those emotions are good.
Number two, if the Spirit of God leads you to worship and praise Him, you should obey, or you will quench the Spirit, and the Bible commands us NOT to do that.
I've also heard people say, "Others might think ya'll are charismatic for all that shouting, crying, and running."
My response to that is, are you really going to let the charismaniacs steal your shout? Don't you know Baptists were around way before them? I've read that the wife of Shubal Stearns (who's church birthed most of the Baptist Churches in the south) prayed and testified publicly. That was in the 1700's, way before Pentecostalism.
I will say, I am not, and never have been for those who "worship" to call attention to themselves, or those who do things without the Spirit's leading. That is out of order, and will quench the Spirit as quickly as someone who won't worship when lead to.
I understand that some people are more emotional than others. Some people are introverted. Some are shy. I understand that we don't all worship in the same way. I've seen people shout, run, cry, laugh, bow their head, wave their hand, stand, or nod their head. I've seen them smile, I've seen women wave handkerchiefs. Some people do nothing on the outside, but inside they are praising and glorifying God. It's all good, and in order. The Bible says let everything be done decently and in order, and worshiping God is always in order. Publicly, and privately.
That's what this poem is about. It's entitled, Heavenly Language, and my purpose for writing it is to share my heart concerning worship. Worship is commanded, and I believe in Heaven we'll lose all the dignity, fear, formality, and may I just say, pride. I believe when we see the One who bled and died for us, we will fall down before Him and praise Him. I believe we'll cry "Holy," and "Worthy is the Lamb!" I believe we'll cry and praise Him for not letting us go to Hell. I think we'll worship Him for who He is and adore Him eternally. So if you feel lead of God to worship Him down here, just remember you're "just practicing for when you get to Heaven."
How can we do any less for the One who has been so good to us?

Heavenly Language
There is a language
I'm thankful to learn.
It's one I picked up on
when from my old life I turned.
It started with "Glory to God!"
Then a "Hallelujah" slipped on in.
Pretty soon I even found myself
shouting out "Amen!"
"That's right, Preacher!
Tell it like it is!
I'm glad to learn a language
to which there is no quiz!
This language is spoken
with shouting, running, or tears.
It's a language I'm still learning
though I've been saved for years.
If you hear folks shouting
or see raising of hands,
we're only practicing for Heaven
and hope you'll understand.
Charismatic tongue flapping
will never pass the test.
Those of Old Time Religion
know the Heavenly Language is best.
