Exceeding Grace

Saturday night I heard a powerful message on Exceeding Grace. The Preacher used the text about the woman at the well, and sin is like that. Sin is a well we have to dig deeper and deeper into and always leaves a thirst, and we always have to come back for more.

Then he talked about the Living Water Jesus offered; how those who drink of it will never thirst again. He talked about where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. I'm so thankful for that.

As I listened to the message my mind went back to who I had been before salvation, and even, who I have been since salvation. When I think of how God's grace supersedes it all, it blesses my heart and makes me want to shout God's praises.

I am not what I should be, but I am eternally thankful I'm not who I was. I'm so glad that the sin I once carried is GONE! As far as the east is from west, cast into the sea of forgetfulness, put behind God's back, blotted from the book, justified as if I'd never sinned....did I mention they were gone?!

You can trade your guilt for grace, your vices for victory, your hurt to hope, your bitterness for blessing, you sin for salvation! I'm glad He washes white as snow and that His grace exceeds it all!

I love when the Lord takes a message and uses it to bless us so much that we, in turn, share it so that others may be blessed by it! I PRAISE GOD that His grace is sufficient for even me!
